The wedding was amazing from start to finish! We sang quite a few worship songs in the old church and while we were singing I was overcome with tears. The beauty of the moment was overwhelming; Simon was finally getting to marry Priscilla, whom he's loved since he was thirteen and God had made a way for us to share in their day. It was truly a blessing!
The reception went until 2:30 in the morning but I had to put the kids to bed and stay with them, so the photos are only from the day.
Enjoy!
Well, it's no Banana Stand . . . |
The church they were married in. |
They walked up the isle together, so sweet. |
Simon's been waiting for this day since they met. |

This were the reception was, Simon's parents dairy farm.
Yup, Simon grew up here. This is where we got to stay!
Of course there would be slack-lining at his wedding! |

The view from his yard |
Ok, so this is a crappy picture,
BUT if you look in the upper left hand corner you'll see Simon's feet!
One of his groomsmen dared him to walk the slack-line across the court yard.
I have video of this if anyone's interested!
The guest house where his grandmother lives. |
Swiss receptions are different from ours. They have to do different things. Priscilla had to do two things that Simon is good at and he had to do two things that she is good at.
Simon's brother David explaining the tasks. |
Priscilla had to ride a tractor . . .
through an obstacle course . . .
and shoot a gun at a can. (Don't worry Mom, no one got hurt.)
Simon had to paint a picture . . .
(Really, is anyone surprised he painted a cow's behind?!?! Love this guy!)
and dance with flags. I also have video of this!
The next morning. Breakfast under the cherry tree.
